Privacy

This site belongs to Ken Rideout. This page explains what we collect when you use it and what we do with it.

What we collect

If you sign up for Nowhere to Hide, we keep your email address and, if you give it, your first name. If you send a speaking inquiry, we keep what you write in the form. When analytics are on, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record how the site is used, such as which pages are read and for how long.

What we use it for

Your email address is used to send the letter and the emails that start it. Speaking inquiries are used to reply to you. Analytics tell us which pages people read, so we can improve them. We don't sell your information.

Who handles it

Emails are sent through Kit. The site runs on Vercel. Analytics run through Google and Microsoft. Each of these services processes the information on our behalf.

Your choices

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or California, analytics stay off until you allow them. Everywhere else they are on when you arrive, and you can turn them off.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can change your cookie choice at any time with the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email hi@theothersideofhard.com.
